Subscribe To Facebook Page Events

UPDATE: This feature has been removed.

Facebook has recently added a new feature to the events page. You can now subscribe to a page”s events, which in theory, should notify you when the page creates an event in your area. This should help out pages, like musicians on tour, that are fairly event heavy. These kind of pages took a bit of a hit when Facebook started turning up the “you need to pay for views” knob, or as others have put it, the drop in organic reach.

According to Facebook, all desktop and mobile views should have the button available now. You will just have to let the users that like your page know the option is now available, maybe with a quick little description of why it would benefit them, and voila. If you want to keep track of how many people are subscribed, look just to the left of the Subscribe button. It should tell you how many people have subscribed to your events.

If you are on the other end of things, the one subscribing, you can come back to the page at any time and that same button should now say Unsubscribe, giving you the option to do just that. You can also view all of the events coming up from the subscribed pages by using the following link: www.facebook.com/events/subscribed.

It would be helpful to be able to see WHO has subscribed to our events, not just a number. As a business owner, I would like to offer special discounts and incentives to those who subscribe to our events.
